About this Task

Task 1 –  I will create a 16-week custom running training plan

This will prepare you from a standing start to completing your first 5k race, or park run. You tell me the time you have available to train and I can plan a personalised training plan to help you reach your goals from 5k – marathon distance races.

Already have a training plan but didn’t get the time you wanted? Or didn’t complete you goal?

Let me take a look at your current training plan and advise on changes and tweaks your existing training plan to help you achieve your goals.

Task 2 -I will create a 16-week custom running training plan and coach you through it personally – £50

The same 16-week plan as above, but more gradual and bespoke. I’ll give you a 4-week initial plan, then review, tweak it according to your progress and create another 4 week plan, and so on. The plan will evolve and grow as you do over the 16 week period.

Hi, I’m Dan. I’m a marathon runner, coach, blogger and gear reviewer.

I’ve been running marathons and long-distance endurance races for 3 years, including The Ultra Tour of the Lake District, one of the hardest long-distance races in the UK. I also hold the current course record of the Sky Running Welsh 3000’s V3K, a race, which crosses all the mountains over 3000ft in Wales.

I was never meant to be a ‘natural’ runner. I was diagnosed with Perthes disease when I was 9, a condition which makes exercising more or less impossible. The blood supply to my femur was inadequate, making the bone soften and break down gradually. I’ve had operations to lengthen the tendons in my groin, had my hip pinned to increase blood flow, I’ve been wheelchair bound and I’ve struggled on crutches. During this time, my inactivity meant that I became overweight and unfit. No one thought, least of all myself, that I would ever run a marathon.

Starting by completing walking challenges, thanks to my two boxer dogs and a good friend, I got fitter and fitter. I then started to run, and I’ve not stopped since.

My current PBs:

5k – 16:16

10k – 33:24

10mi – 55:46

½ marathon – 73:34

Marathon – 2:42:27

If you too are at the start of your fitness journey, or want to improve your running times and technique, I can show you how to run times and distances you never thought possible and overcome any and all of your personal and fitness barriers.
